Pork Chop with Apples and Onions

This simple dish is perfect for an easy weeknight meal.


2 pork chops with bones

1 apple, cored and cut into wedges

½ onion, sliced


cinnamon powder

salt & black pepper


Let pork chops rest at room temperature 10 mins before cooking. Season with salt & pepper.

Heat oil in a skillet. Sear the pork chops until brown on both sides and continue to cook for another few minutes. Transfer to a plate.

Melt butter in the same skillet. After it has melted, place the apples and onions, brown each side and sprinkle cinnamon powder on top.

Place the apples and onions in a baking tray and the pork chops on top. Bake at 180C for 10-15 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through and the apples are tender

Serve warm.
